Keeping your baby safe while they experience deep, restful sleep was our number one goal when designing the Just Gel, Baby! mattress. In reviewing the materials that other crib mattresses are made from we found numerous problems with the foams (off-gassing), natural latex and wool (possible allergic reaction) and the too firm surfaces that cause baby skin irritation, cradle cap and flat head. Fortunately, hospital tested intelli-Gel® created an ideal, safe material to replace the foams and other cushioning materials used in other crib mattresses. By complementing intelli-Gel® with other natural, safe materials we were able to create the most comfortable, supportive, allergy free sleep surface for your growing baby.

Cushioning & Support

Hospital tested intelli-Gel® provides world-class pressure relief and is so safe it is approved for use in baby bottle nipples. It is the only completely non-toxic, hypoallergenic, anti-microbial material we have ever seen and it is so pressure relieving it is used in hospitals to treat bed sores.

Fire Blocking
Our Just Gel, Baby! mattress uses a thin cover made from a specially processed form of silicon thread (silica fiber blend) to meet federal regulations and protect the inner mattress from bursting into flames if exposed to fire. We chose this inherently natural way to meet the federal requirements for fire blocking in our mattress and discarded the regular methods of spraying the inner materials with fire blocking chemicals (boric acid can produce unwanted off-gassing) or use of a wool sock (many are allergic to wool). It was our intent to find the most natural, hypo-allergenic and stable (non off-gassing) method to protect our Just Gel, Baby! crib mattress.

Federal Regulations & Testing
Federal law mandates that crib mattresses meet specific requirements for size, height (no more than 6") and fire blocking and cigarette testing. The Just Gel, Baby! mattress meets all federal regulations for flame and cigarette testing which is the highest rating for fire proofing a mattress can have.

Uses & Cleaning Instructions
The Just Gel, Baby! mattress should be protected at all times using the Protect 'Ur Gel cover that comes with it. This cover protects the mattress from all foreign materials including: soiling and moisture, dust mites, allergens and bed bugs. Since babies can have bowel movements that overwhelm their diapers, it is helpful to purchase a second Protect 'Ur Gel cover so you have one to use and one to wash.

- The Protect 'Ur Gel cover is machine washable.
- The organic cotton, zippered cover is dry cleanable.
Replacement Protect 'Ur Gel covers and zippered covers are available if needed.
